Kenneth J. Turner, 94, of Spencerport, died Thursday (May 22, 2014) at the Jewish Home of Rochester. He was born July 14, 1919 in Rochester, a son of the late Edward and Ida (Benning) Turner. Ken was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Brockport and the Stafford Country Club. He was the president of Al Turner Excavating and Contracting Inc. in Spencerport. A veteran, he served with the United States Army from 1942 to 1945. Survived by his wife, Irene (VanCott) Turner of Spencerport; a daughter, Bonnie (John) Mench; three granddaughters, Jennifer (Anthony) Vigliotti, Stephanie (Cristian) Bieg and Jessica (Karl) Dubash; five great-grandchildren, John, Jacob, Nicholas, Elizabeth and Jason and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by six brothers and sisters. There are no prior calling hours and all services will be private. Burial will be in White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Brockport, 35 State Street, Brockport, NY 14420 or the Spencerport Rotary Club, PO Box 247, Spencerport, NY 14559.
